Dave Kurlan is a top-rated speaker, best-selling author, sales thought leader and highly regarded sales development expert.
I read a really  good article about reliability and validation of assessments.  In addition to explaining them in a way I never could, the article also does a good job in helping you understand why you can't use personality tests to predict job performance, and why benchmarking doesn't work.  Click here to read Good Test, Bad Test.

As an MBTI Facilitator I have always advised clients never ever regard the MBTI as a recruitment tool and yet I hear of companies that do. Equally as frightening is ihe majority of cases when I ask 'decision makers' on assessments tools about the availability of reliability, validity and normative data associated with tools they are about to use or have used, I get a blank look!! They are not even aware of the ned to ask thsoe sort of questions
