OMG defines commitment as the willingness to do whatever it takes - even when it's difficult, even when you don't agree with what you're supposed to do, even when it's scary. I'm about to board a plane for Denver where I'm supposed to address 125 CEO's over lunch on the 26th. Denver is expecting a blizzard. My original flight was cancelled so I got on another flight. I'll get there. I'll speak. What about the 125 who registered to attend? Will they show up? Some, the committed ones, will. Many won't - it will be too inconvenient, too difficult, too scary, too slippery, too cold. Do you know any CEO's, presidents or Sales VP's in Denver? Are they committed? Tell them there will probably be some available seats at the Brown Palace for lunch on the 26th and they'll get to hear me talk for two hours. Just have them show up - in the snow - I'll let them in for free just for showing up!Do it now. You're committed, aren't you?© Copyright 2006 Objective Management Group, Inc.
