Get Out of the Way and 8 Tips for Sales Success

Dave Kurlan is a top-rated speaker, best-selling author, sales thought leader and highly regarded sales development expert.

On today's (June 9, 2009) episode of Meet the Sales Experts I interviewed Chris Mott.  This was a very interesting, fast-moving show where Chris shared his 8 tips for sales success, talked about sales management's role in growing sales, the biggest obstacle he had to overcome in order to succeed, how to succeed in this economy, and much, much more.  One of his 8 tips?  Get out of the way!  Listen in to hear him elaborate on how to get out of the way.

On Friday's episode (June 12, 2009 at 12 Noon ET) of  Meet the Sales Experts, I will interview Bill Murray, who, among other things, will talk about taking strategies from 50,000 feet and turning them into actionable, real world sales tactics.

Dear Mr Kurlan

I don't understand why I person who's experience in sales doesn't accept another person through the social networks.
I believe that PR is one of the main points of your blog.
I do apologize if this comment doesn't have anything to do with your post but i find it a way to get in contact with you cause at Linkedin I couldn't establish any communication.

Hi Amanda,

LinkedIn has some fairly good policies and one of them is that if you don't know a person, you shouldn't let them join your network. I don't know you, but it appears you are a recruiter. In my experience, recruiters don't bring anything to the network they join, but they use the network as a source for candidates. My clients, who make up a portion of my network, don't want recruiters raiding the sales forces I helped them develop. Sorry.

Hi Dave,
I'm sorry to hear about your perception of recruiters, and yes maybe some recruiters are like that but not all of us.
All that I can say is that as a Psychologist I was interest on the information on your blogs and criteria you used on the assessments for the sales area cause, personally I'm not too familiar and I've not found to much information that's worth it. And by adding you on linked in can sen d me reminders or updates.
