I listen a lot. Listen to this conversation.

CEO: You must be frustrated.

Salesperson: Yes, I'm frustrated, but I've reached the conclusion that it's a God/timing (and me) thing.

CEO: What do you mean?

Salesperson: Well, this in January, this in April, a couple other things and this right now that's frustrating me right now. So, maybe God's saying, not in 2009.

CEO: Maybe, God's saying, "2009 is your year, but not unless you can overcome these obstacles."

Have you ever used God as an excuse so that you wouldn't have to take responsibility for your results? The ability and willingness to take responsibility 'no matter what' is one of the crucial elements to a salesperson's success.

What do you think? How do you rate? Check out the Green RainMaker Evaluation link under my picture.
