Great article and subject. Makes me think even more about my colleagues (attorneys), most of whom don't have the slightest clue how to run a law practice/business, how to network, etc. They may be the best at the trial, the closing, the contract or the will, but running a business? They don't teach us that in law school. Rick, you and I have chatted about that before and I continue to witness it as I chatted with 2 attorneys who are in a horrific lease situation. Just because they are attorneys does not mean that they control those things any better than another business person.

I wonder if law schools would be open to teaching a course on opening and running a law practice. And while they are at it, perhaps a course on networking within the limits of the attorney ethical rules so that attorneys know that networking is actually ok.
